7 Quick Takes Vol. 14: A Soul Dyed by Thoughts #7QT

It’s been one of those weeks for me where inspiration needs to be direct and daily. I thought, why not share them with you. These are what read – beginning last Monday,to today. I hope they are a help to you as they have been for me.

— 1 —

In all ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
-Proverbs 3:6

 He leadeth me.
-Psalm 23:2

The Shepherd knows what pastures are best for His sheep, and they must not question or doubt, but trustingly follow Him.
-H.W. Smith

path proverbs

— 2 —

Let patience have her perfect work.
-James 1:4

The little worries which we meet each day may lie as stumbling-blocks along our way, or we may make them stepping-stones to be of grace, O Lord to thee.
-A.E. Hamilton

— 3 —

— 4 —

Let a watch, O Lord before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
-Psalm 141:3

— 5 —

In the bitter waves of woe
Beaten and tossed about
By the sullen winds that blow
From the desolate shores of doubt,
Where the anchors that faith has cast
Are dragging in the gale,
I am quietly holding fast
To the things that cannot fail.
-Washington Gladden

— 6 —

God has brought us into this time;
He and not ourselves or some dark demon…
In this time we are to live and wrestle, and in
no other…If easy times are departed, it is that the
difficult times may make us more in earnest; that they
may teach us not to depend on ourselves. If easy belief
is impossible; it is that we may learn what belief is,
and in whom it is to be placed.
-F. D. Maurice

— 7 —

As soon as we lay ourselves entirely at
His feet, we have enough light given
Us to guide our own steps; as the foot-soldier,
Who hears nothing of the councils that determine the course of the great battle
He is in, hears plainly enough the word of
Command which he must himself obey.
-George Eliot

  1. #2 James 1: 4 Let patience have her perfect work is definitely a confirmation for me…the things that I have been facing lately, and the gentle whisper that reassures me that it will be well in the end. Great share Cristina. 🙂
